The recent Jubilarian Meet and Greet, held on 16th November 2024, was a heartwarming and vibrant gathering that brought together alumnae from various graduating classes who will celebrate their Jubilarian year in 2025. The event was a beautiful concoction of experiences and stories, a testament to the enduring spirit of our Scholastican community.
The morning began with an inspiring welcome speech from St. Scholastica’s College Manila President, Sr. Rosario, and Clarissa Grey Ocampo, St. Scholastica’s Alumnae Foundation (SSAFI) President. Both leaders highlighted the importance of maintaining strong connections within the alumnae network, emphasizing our collective desire to support and uplift our alma mater. Presentations on SSAFI’s programs and the school’s structural needs underscored how each alumna can play a role in sustaining our beloved institution.
As the day unfolded, familiar faces from the past evoked poignant memories. Seeing treasured mentors and classmates like Dra. Angeles Tan Alora and Sr. Angelina Villanueva of HS’50 brought a mix of nostalgia and joy. These remarkable women, whose ties to St. Scholastica’s College Manila span decades, reminded us how some things remain steadfast—a deep love for our alma mater and a commitment to its mission.
True to the Scholastican spirit, the event was lively and full of purpose. The energy in the room was infectious, with alumnae from different generations exchanging stories, sharing laughs, and renewing bonds. It was a clear reflection of the vibrant community we hold dear and continue to nurture.
The day concluded with a powerful call to action, urging all attendees to stay engaged and participate in future events. The anticipation for HOMECOMING on 9th February 2025, is now stronger than ever. With renewed enthusiasm, we look forward to celebrating this milestone together.
